Our Year 9 University Insight Day, as part of Enrichment Week, saw the whole year group spend the day at university on Wednesday 15th July. Higher Education is a valuable post-18 pathway, and we are committed to ensuring every young person understands what this pathway can look like and experience it first-hand.
Students gained greater insight into university, such as the courses that are available for study and the qualifications needed. Students also had the opportunity to speak with current undergraduates about their experiences both academically and socially and about the range of opportunities that are available in the university environment.
Each Insight was tailored to a specific subject area (creative, life sciences, business and technology, and the humanities) so that students could have a better understanding of how their favourite subjects might be taught in higher education.
