Year 9 Trip to The Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London

On Monday 17^th July, 15 of our Year 9 students that are taking GCSE Art next year visited The Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London.

They completed an art analysis task in which they described, interpreted and evaluated art work by Édouard Manet. They then produced their own illustrations inspired by the works of Manet.

Thanks to Jonathan Bridge, Widening Participation Officer of the Courtauld for giving the students a tour of the university. The pupils gained a great deal from the day, it was a perfect mix of helpful university advice and engaging art analysis tasks.
