On Thursday 26th March, a group of 30 Year 9 students visited the Natural History Museum as a reward trip for their outstanding or much approved attendance. Students explored the much loved dinosaur exhibit, experienced an earthquake simulator, discovered extinct and conserved species, and learnt about the human impact on our planet.
One student said “I learnt how tree rings get further apart when there is more carbon dioxide and warmer temperatures, so we can use them to understand global warming”, another exclaimed “I didn’t know trees could grow so big!”

Another 30 students from Year 9 will head to the museum in May to recognise their effort in attendance and learning.
