On Monday 22nd June, a group of 46 year 9 students embarked on the first ever Central Foundation Outward Bound Camping trip at Cuffley Active Learning Centre. A wild pheasant greeted the boys as they arrived with their sleeping bags and mats in tow.

Across two days, students took part in a rotation of four different activities: Gladiator (high ropes), orienteering, laser tag and Survival SOS, whereby students learnt emergency first aid skills in the field and attended to casualties at an aeroplane crash scenario. Impressively, one student scaled the high ropes course in 22 seconds – the centre confirmed this was a student record!
