On Tuesday 19th December, a group of our Year 8 students attended a tour and talk of Benjamin Franklin House in Charing Cross. The group was invited to attend a talk on ‘Democracy for Young People’ delivered by Dr Marcia Balisciano, founder of the museum and global head of corporate responsibility at RELX.
The students enjoyed learning about the history of the house and the Founding Father’s experience living in London. They asked insightful questions about democracy today and why is it important in our modern society.
Education Lead, Henry expressed his gratitude for the students’ exemplary behaviour and has invited pupils to attend future events such as Family Days at the museum as well as after school Science Club.
We look forward to being part of the Benjamin Franklin House Frankly Speaking Competition in the new year!
