On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th December, Our Year 8 and Year 9 students enjoyed special auctions to round off the autumn term. They used their merit totals to bid for unique prizes donated by their teachers.
The prizes covered a wide range: from Waterstones / Amazon / JD Sports vouchers, to a chess set, mini snooker table, Lynx set, highlighters, chocolates, alarm clocks, CFBS blazers and much more. Additionally, there were some “privilege prizes” like the opportunity to enjoy a brunch with Mr Brownhill, a Science practical experiment with Ms McColl, a cycling lesson with Mr Dilley or a FIFA session on the big screen and the chance to be Assistant Manager at an upcoming Sports Fixture with Mr Barrell.
Much excitement ensued as our biggest merit earners got to outbid other students to get the prizes they wanted!
Congratulations to Eamon (Year 8) who won the opportunity to ring the School Bell that marked the end of the term, a most sought after auction prize exchanged for lots of merits!
Thank you to Ms McColl, Mr Hudson and Ms Kennedy for organising this opportunity for Year 8 and 9!
