A group of Year 7 students had the exciting opportunity to attend a presentation skills workshop at Linklaters LLP Law Firm on Thursday 16th October.
The day began with a speed networking session. Here, the boys met with employees working in different departments of the law firm and had the opportunity to ask them questions about their career trajectories and the work they do. There followed an introduction to public speaking presentation, where the boys were introduced to the range of skills necessary to speaking confidently in front of others.

Following this, the boys planned and delivered an independent presentation about their aspirations for the future. The students impressed with with the range of dreams and ambitions they shared and the constructive feedback they both offered and received from peers in their groups. After a delicious corporate lunch – which was a real hit with the boys – they were placed in mixed groups and tasked with planning an intervention to improve health and wellbeing for employees at Linklaters.
The commitment, enthusiasm and teamwork skills of our students shone in the final presentations; an amazing day and the boys did Central Foundation proud!
