On Wednesday 3rd June, Central Foundation’s Year 7 students had an incredible afternoon competing in our House cupcake bake-off competition!

- 7C: (Mikaeel, Callum and Keyaan) created a set of cupcakes decorated with flags from each of their cultures.
- 7E: (Spencer and Reuben) put chocolate chips inside their cupcake batter for a sweet gooey base.
- 7N: (Idris, Louay and Alexander) created cupcakes based on the four Harry Potter houses and coloured frosting inside to match! Topped with luscious icing and cocoa powder- it was our top score!
- 7T: (Mubarak and Harry) Even if their tops burnt a bit, created a beautiful decorative set of cupcakes.
- 7R: (Luke, Meshkat, Ayoub) Were an excellent team and were one of the first in the oven and decorated. They had a delicious buttercream frosting!
- 7A: (Ketema, Aren and Daniel) Were another form in joint 2nd place with cupcakes that as described by Ms Kennedy, ‘could be displayed in a Hummingbird bakery!’
- 7L: (Maxwell) Despite being on his own, created light fluffy cupcakes that scored him joint 2nd place!

Our judges, Mr Brownhill, Ms McMenamin and Ms Kennedy, tasted and gave detailed feedback to each team. It was like an episode of Masterchef as the boys crowded around to describe their dish and inspiration.
Congratulations to all the students who worked so well together and were very proud of their bakes!
