In the week commencing 10th November, Central Foundation’s Year 7 and Year 9 football squads travelled to Chigwell this week with clear intentions: play front-foot, attacking football, stay disciplined and organised out of possession, and return to Cowper Street with clean sheets, strong performances, and positive results.
Four Year 7 teams travelled on Tuesday and produced an excellent set of results:
- A Team – 1–0 Win
A superb early goal from Harrison gave Central the lead, followed by an outstanding defensive display to see the game out. A brilliant match to prepare the boys for up and coming cup competitions. - B Team – 2–2 Draw
A tight, competitive match on the top pitch, with John managing to score both goals in an end-to-end encounter. - C Team – 3–0 Win
An early opener from Majid settled the team, before two late goals from Timo secured a deserved 3–0 victory against a resilient Chigwell side. - D Team – 8–0 Win
A dominant attacking performance. Xander opened the scoring with a stunning 30-yard strike, before goals from Saalih (2), Soul (2) and hat-trick hero Seyi (3) completed the rout. A number of players will certainly be pushing for places higher up.

Three Year 9 teams travelled on Thursday aiming to replicate the Year 7 success—and did exactly that:
- A Team – 1–1 Draw
A high-quality game on an excellent playing surface. Roman put Central ahead before Chigwell equalised. A strong performance as the squad prepares for upcoming cup fixtures. - B Team – 2–0 Win
Aras broke the deadlock with a brilliant free-kick before a composed breakaway finish from Liam sealed a well-earned 2–0 win. - C Team – 8–2 Win
A comprehensive performance. First-half goals from Ayman, Zak, Abdulrahman and Zayin put Central 4–0 up. In the second half, Zak added another before Ayman powered in from a well-worked corner. Ayman completed his hat-trick soon after, with Chigwell scoring either side of it. Captain Muhammad rounded off the scoring to make it 8–2.
A week of performances to be proud of for our Year 7s and 9s—outstanding performances on the pitch, and exemplary behaviour off it. Well done to all of the boys involved and thanks to the staff for their support.
