Last week, our Year 13 Vocational Business and Hospitality students attended a week-long work experience placement at The Montcalm Royal London House.
The placement took place to re-establish the strong partnership between CFBS and Montcalm following a pause due to COVID-19 restrictions. The purpose of the placement was to provide students with real-world experience of the operations of a 5-star hospitality setting.
The students gained a breadth of business and hospitality experience within departments across the hotel. The placement focused on food and drinks service in a variety of settings around the hotel, the cleaning and servicing of hotel rooms, and the delivery of excellent customer service to guests. This experience will support students in the completion of their Vocational Business and Hospitality qualifications as well as in applications to future work opportunities within the hospitality industry.
Many thanks to House Manager Alex Stroie and Hotel Manager Deepak Panicker for organising the placement and supporting our young people. We are grateful for their support as they will be welcoming our Year 12 Vocational Business and Hospitality Students later this year.
