On Thursday 25th May, the Access Project arranged a visit for 17 Year 12 students to familiarise themselves with University of Reading. This entailed a tour of the campus, a workshop on university life and different types of degrees, and also a Q&A session with current students from the university.
This is all in an effort to help them gain an understanding of the benefits of attending a top third university; aspects of student life and what they need to do in order to get a place at one of these universities.
The Access Project supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities, through a unique combination of tuition and in-school mentoring. Central Foundation is proud to celebrate 10 years of working with The Access Project and Slaughter and May!
