Some of our Year 12 pupils attended SnapHQ on Tuesday 23rd January for a full-day workshop focused on diversity in the technology sector and developing their understanding of the field.
Our pupils heard from a wide range of employees from Snap and Amazon, engaged with a Diversity in Tech Panel, speed networking, and then a business pitch challenge. Pupils worked with pupils from four different sixth forms across London. Each team developed an idea for a new app and then put together their own business pitch to present back to a panel of judges.
Our pupils showed fantastic leadership skills when working with pupils from different schools, and we heard some great new ideas on how apps can tackle concerns for the environment.
Well done to our Year 12s for representing themselves and Central Foundation!
