On Wednesday 19th March, we held a Year 12 CV Workshop. 35 volunteers from across our employer community, including some CFBS alumni, were invited into the school to work with our young people 1-to-1.
Our Year 12s complete their CVs in the spring term. KX Recruit delivered an insightful assembly in January providing advice and guidance on how to create a strong CV, after which every student in Year 12 completed their own CV as a homework exercise. Our CV Workshop allows students to gain feedback on that activity, and further develop their CV writing skills for the future.
The volunteers provided guidance to our Year 12 students on the presentation and structure of a CV, highlighting activities that students do that are valuable and demonstrate their skills. It was a busy afternoon with over 95% of the cohort participated in the workshop.
We want to thank all of our volunteers for their time and for supporting our young people on the day – we had a wide range of organisations represented in the school including: Slaughter and May, RGA, AllianzGI, NHS England, Islington Council, DWP, x+why, Barclays, Matrix, Vital Energi and Panacea Medical.
