End of Year 11 Celebrations

On Wednesday 14th June, the Year 11 Celebration assembly gave every Year 11 student the opportunity to cross the stage and be presented with their leavers certificate by our headteacher Mr. Brownhill.

The assembly featured a piano performance of Pachelbel’s Canon by Elliot and speeches from Mr. Brownhill, Mr. Dilley, Ms. Oladimeji, as well as Nathaniel who was the Islington Regional Finalist at the 2021-22 Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge!

Flowers were also presented to all form tutors of the Year 11 group: Ms. Ajayi, Ms. Bridges,  Ms. Foster, Ms. Goldman, Ms. Hudson, Ms. Hughes, as well as the Director of Learning for Year 11, Mr. Couch and the Assistant Headteacher (Key Stage 4 Lead), Ms. Oladimeji.

Following their final exams, the Year 11s were invited back to school for a BBQ in the sunshine on Thursday 22nd June.

Students really enjoyed the various sporting activities, which included Basketball in our new sports’ hall, table tennis and a football tournament.

They were also able to get their shirts signed by friends and teachers.

This was such a positive event and a lovely opportunity for the year group to come together again and show their gratitude and bid their good byes to the staff at the school. Huge thanks to Ms. Oladimeji and Ms. Ajayi for all the hard work which made this event happen and to Mr. Neenan for being king of the BBQ!

We are very proud of our Year 11s for reaching this point in their journey at our school and wish them a very well deserved rest this summer. We look forward to celebrating your GCSE results with you on August 24th!
