Ten of the Year 10 triple science group were invited to a Bioengineering taster day at Imperial College’s White City Campus on Thursday 22nd January.
The day started with introductory lectures about fungal battles on microfluidic chips, progressed through a competition for making the longest hydrogel worms, and ended with a speedy spinal reconstruction. Our students were superb ambassadors for the school, asking great questions and throwing themselves into the tasks.
We all came away from the day enthused for our bio-engineered future, eagerly looking forward to the day our consciousnesses are uploaded to the cloud.
