On Wednesday 4th June, a group of GCSE language students visited the School of European Languages, Culture and Society at UCL (University College London).
Students participated in a range of exciting activities including a workshop at the UCL Art Collection focusing on learning languages through art and objects. This was followed by a Danish Language taster which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we learned some basic sentence structures to use in everyday dialogues.
In the afternoon students had an introduction to linguistics with one of the professors and a tour of the UCL campus with undergraduate students who gave an insight into student life, academic studies, and extracurricular activities on offer.
Many thanks to the widening participation team at UCL for delivering a day of highly engaging activities for our students.
