On Tuesday 17th and Friday 20th June, the Year 10 Geographers carried out their urban fieldwork investigation looking at how regeneration had affected Stratford and the surrounding area.
Despite the hot weather, the students carried out their investigation diligently and carefully looking at the benefits of the regeneration and potential drawbacks. Students asked members of the public their views on the changes, carried out environmental quality surveys, land use mapping and field sketches. Field sketches were also compared with historical photos of the area, including the notorious ‘fridge mountain’, and many were shocked by how significant the area had changed.
Over the next few weeks, this will be written up in school in preparation for next year’s Paper 3 exam.
