In the first week of February, our Year 12 Geography students participated in a field trip to Lake District.
The group enjoyed their walk from Grasmere up to Esdale Tarn, studying glacial landforms and processes.
They have been collecting the primary data (near the base of Blencathra) for their water and carbon cycle studies in some of the most challenging conditions.
The students displayed lots of resilience, teamwork and high level geographical thinking. They then went in the lab with their soil samples to test for moisture and carbon content, while others are starting to write up their studies in the classroom.
