On Wednesday 13th May, our Year 10 Drama students, alongside a number of Sixth Form students visited The Old Vic to watch a powerful production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, which was performed in the round.

This trip provided students with valuable insight into live theatre, allowing them to experience professional acting, staging, lighting and directorial choices firsthand. This thought-provoking performance explored dangerous power dynamics. It helped deepen their understanding of characterisation, dramatic tension and the impact of theatre on an audience, directly supporting their studies in Drama.

Students were highly engaged throughout the performance and found the experience both inspiring and memorable.
