We enjoyed a plethora of thought-provoking sketches and comic scenes at the drama department’s Winter Showcase on the evening of Monday, 12th December. These performances are the culmination of a term of hard work at the weekly drama club which takes place on a Wednesday.
It was lovely to see such a range of pieces with students from different year groups collaborating in their acting, performing with such confidence and courage to a sold-out audience. The individual monologues also revealed true dramatic talent and flair.
The evening ended with a special prize giving for winners of house points:
- Best monologue performance: Raif (Year 8)
- Best duologue performance: Alfie (Year 7) and Mazen (Year 9)
- All round actor award: Yves (Year 7)
- Drama teachers’ special award: William (Year 8)
