Winter Concert 2025

The term finished with our annual Winter Concert and it was a sell-out! The Great Hall was dressed up in festive decorations and the atmosphere was truly special.

Over 160 students performed in the concert to an audience of over 300 people. The music provision, now housed in the Hearn Centre, has been generously supported by various organisations including Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MiSST), Restore the Music, The Dulwich Estate, The Hearn Foundation and The Roy Bard Foundation. A team of 12 music tutors provides individual and group tuitions, all free of charge, in a range of musical instruments and voice.

The quality of the performances at the Winter Concert and the student leadership in them was exceptional. There were fifteen different groups performing pieces ranging from Mozart to Aerosmith, they included:

  • Eduard Marcu & The Staff Quartet – Double Bass Sonata – Giovanni Bottesini
  • The Tuveno Quartet  – String Quartet: Allegro Moderato – Très Doux – Maurice Ravel
  • The Chitan Quartet – String Quartet No.13 ‘Finale’ – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
