Our Year 13 Vocational Applied Science students went on a field trip on Tuesday 29th November to The Lookout Discovery Centre in Hyde Park.
The students braved the wet and cold conditions for 5 hours outside getting hands on experience in ecology practicals.
They were able to carry out sampling of the local woodlice population and plant population, including capture & release, quadrats and line transects. They considered ways to mitigate human impact on flora and fauna in the environment with the park hosting Winter Wonderland.
Students kept their spirits up and enjoyed the day. Bravo year 13!
