Central Foundation Boys’ Sixth Form is committed to ensuring our young people have both the knowledge and academic skill to access the most competitive university post-18 pathways. To support this, we have expanded our KS5 academic curriculum so that we are now able to offer our University Preparation Lessons (UPL) to Year 12 and 13 students. These are additional timetabled lessons in Humanities, Maths and Sciences as well as a student-led Medicine Society, tailored to support our young people develop their confidence and foster an environment where students feel excited to pursue their own academic interests.
Our UPL Parents’ Evening which took place on Tuesday 28th January was an important moment for our Year 12 students to mark the start of the UPL Programme for the academic year 2024-25, and energise our community in supporting our young people prepare for their upcoming university application cycle.
It was wonderful to see so many of our UPL students attend the evening with their parents/carers there to support the start of this exciting next chapter. We are eager to see how our young people grow and develop over the coming months.
