After a very smooth journey from London St Pancras to Lille, our Year 9 and 10 students used the métro to get to their youth hostel.
They dropped their luggage & headed straight out to the centre of Lille for a really interesting walking tour of the town centre, led by Luke the manager of the language school.
They then headed back to the hostel to unpack & rest their weary feet. Soon it was time to go to a restaurant for dinner.
On Tuesday, students climbed the 400 steps to the top of the Belfry – the highest municipal building in France – and admired the 360 views of Lille & beyond.
They then visited ‘La Piscine’ a beautiful art museum & had lunch of baguettes!
