Central Foundation had an outstanding performance in the recent swimming competition, finishing 2nd overall. Six schools participated in the competition that took place at the Haberdashers’ Academies Trust venue. It was a great achievement that highlights the dedication, skill, and teamwork of our swimmers. The competition was tough, but our athletes gave it their all, securing podium finishes in various events.
Key Highlights:
- The school’s relay teams showcased exceptional coordination and speed, securing several top finishes across different age groups.
- Individual performances were also noteworthy, with standout swimmers achieving personal bests and earning medals in both freestyle and breaststroke events.
- Our young swimmers demonstrated impressive technique, stamina, and resilience, battling it out in highly competitive races.
Notable mentions include Akito (Year 8) who delivered a brilliant performance in the breast stroke and helped push the team to its 1ST place finish. The students’ dedication in training and commitment to excellence truly shone through during the competition, including Thomas (Year 8) winning a silver medal for front crawl, Arthur (Year 8) silver for back stroke, Raif (Year 10) silver for back stroke, Toby (Year 9) silver for breast stroke.
Our incredible relay team winning silver in every race were U13’s Konrad (Year 7), Ronnie (Year 7), Senan (Year 7), Arthur (Year 8), Leith (Year 8), Thomas (Year 8), and the U15’s Feruzi (Year 10), Daniel (Year 10), Raif (Year 10), Ming (Year 10), and Toby (Year 9).
