On Tuesday 7th July, Central Foundation students from Years 7 to 10 performed a rendition of Alison Carr’s “Tuesday” in the Hearn Centre Theatre, and what an incredible performance it was. The cast gave outstanding, committed performances, creating a powerful ensemble piece that truly showcased the creativity, collaboration and imagination that make theatre so special.

The production was brought to life by a fantastic creative team. Year 8 student Matteo worked on lighting alongside Meg, an accomplished lighting designer whose credits include Paddington the Musical. The atmospheric score was led by Mr Tay and the String Quartet, with Daniel (Year 9) who composed a wonderfully spooky soundtrack, while Year 10 students Thomas and Nathan created an immersive ambient soundscape that added another layer of tension and emotion to the performance.
From the acting to the music, lighting and sound, this production was a celebration of ensemble theatre, with every performer and creative contributing something unique. It was a wonderful reminder that the best theatre is made through collaboration, and we are incredibly proud of everyone involved.
