On the evening of Friday 26th June, we held our annual Summer Concert and Art & Design Exhibition. The evening celebrated and showcased all our students who either performed in the concert, or have their art or design piece displayed or by assisting with the organisation and the running of the event.
The evening started with the Art & Design Exhibition at the Hearn Centre Theatre.

The Summer Concert opened with the Tuveno String Quartet’s performance of String Quartet No. 14, Death and the Maiden by Franz Schubert, followed by String Quartet No.6 – Allegro Assai performed by the String Ensemble.

Central Symphony Orchestra performed Warrior Legacy by Soon Hee Newbold.
The Wind Ensemble and String Ensemble then performed the Theme from Jurassic Park, followed by Traversing the Universe, composed by Harry (Year 7) and performed by the Year 7 Orchestra.
The Next Gen Band performed a cover of Welcome to My Life by Simple Plan Day, followed by the CFBS Choir singing Three Hungarian Folksongs by Mátyás Seiber.

Fret Wrx performed a cover of Knights of Cydonia by Muse, together with the Drum Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and the CFBS Choir.
The Sixth Form Ensemble performed Chega de Saudade (No More Blues) by Antônio Carlos Jobim.
The Jazz Band (featuring the String Ensemble) closed the Summer Concert with a performance of Cosmic Girl by Jamiroquai.
