Success at the London Schools Cross Country Championships

On a crisp, sunny winter’s day of Wednesday 4th February, our runners headed to Wormwood Scrubs to compete in the prestigious London Schools Cross Country Championships. While the sky was clear, the ground was a different story—the course lived up to its reputation, offering a gruelling, muddy challenge for every athlete.

Our runners showed incredible grit, navigating the heavy conditions to secure some fantastic individual results against the best in the city.

Standout Performances

  • Inter Boys: Max delivered a powerhouse performance in a highly competitive field, finishing in an impressive 6th place.
  • Junior Boys Race: The team showed great depth here, with Giacomo breaking into the top ten with a superb 9th place finish, followed by Alex who battled hard for 23rd.
  • Junior Boys ‘B’ Race: Our depth continued to show as Noah (17th) and Lukas (19th) both secured strong top-20 finishes, navigating the thickest of the mud with great determination.

A huge well done to all the boys for representing the school with such tenacity on a very demanding course. We look forward to seeing how these results propel them into the rest of the season!
