In 2021 three of the students who joined Central Foundation in Year 7 have taken up courses at Oxford University. Babatunde Oke will be studying Economics at Lady Margaret Hall, Enes Morina will be taking up a place at Somerville to study History and Jawwad Khan will study Biology at Lady Margaret Hall.
In addition, Yacoub Yasin has received a full scholarship to study at Stanford University in California. The top performing student, Tahsin Kazi who achieved 4 A*, will study Computer Science at King’s College.
As well as Oxford and Stanford, we have pupils who have accepted offers to study at many of the country’s top universities including Bristol, UCL, King’s College, Manchester, Loughborough, Warwick, Bath and Queen Mary.
The School also runs a wide range of vocational courses. Students from these courses also performed exceptionally well. Many students have chosen to pursue vocationally based degrees such as Radiography, Nursing, Business Studies and Software Engineering; whilst others have moved onto high quality apprenticeships.
“The students have had to cope with unprecedented disruptions and uncertainties. They have responded to these circumstances with determination and resilience, which has resulted in an outstanding set of outcomes”, said Jamie Brownhill, Headteacher.
