A Level Spanish

Course Outline

Studying Spanish at A level provides an insight into another Spanish and Latin American culture and society. If you want to develop the knowledge and skills acquired at GCSE level in Spanish and to develop your experience of using these languages outside of school in a wide range of contexts, this qualification offers you the enjoyment and motivation of improving your linguistic level.

This course covers four main areas, which are the media, popular culture, healthy living and family. You will continue to develop Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills from GCSE in preparation for the Unit 1 and Unit 2 exams.
