The Central Foundation Sixth Form Lecture Series was launched on Wednesday 9th October. In January, Ms Akdag presented her lecture on Something Sociological while Mr Haylor hosted a 2-part lecture on Making Waves – Synthesisers in Modern Music and Musical Theft – Sampling in Modern Music.
The lectures are delivered by a mixture of external guests and members of CFBS staff, and Year 12 and Year 13 students have the opportunity to attend every Wednesday lunchtime. Through the talks, they will be exposed to a huge variety of careers, interesting topics they may not have encountered, and stretching academic subjects beyond the scope of their current courses.
