On the 20th of November, Ms Goldman and Ms Hughes took Year 12 and 13 English Literature students to see Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap at St Martin’s theatre in the heart of Covent Garden. At 70 years, it is the longest running play in the world.
The story begins with news spreading of a murder in London. A group of strangers then find themselves snowed in at a remote, countryside hotel. When a police sergeant arrives, they are horrified to realise that one of them is the killer. Soon, everyone is under suspicion!
At the end of the play, when the truth is revealed, a huge collective gasp went up from our unsuspecting students!
