The school trip to Parliament for 38 students of the Year 7, 8, 9, and 10 School Council on Wednesday 19th June was a memorable experience.
The day began with an engaging interactive presentation on the history and evolution of Parliament, where students learned about the significant milestones and key figures that have shaped British democracy. We started with an insightful tour of the House of Lords, where the students were impressed by the ornate architecture and the critical role this chamber plays in scrutinizing legislation.
This was followed by a visit to the House of Commons, where students were given a sense of the heated debates and discussions that drive legislative decisions. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day, finding the experience both educational and inspiring.
