For the second year running, a musical ensemble from Central Foundation has progressed to the Finals of the National Chamber Music Competition (Pro Corda Festival).
Last year the Amoko Quartet won the Founders Trophy, and again this year, a group lead by Kamal Amoko (the Amoko Quintet on this occasion) reached the final stage.
Prior to this round, an impressive four ensembles reached the Semi Final, with seven ensembles from Central Foundation having entered the competition in total.
The Amoko Quintet travelled down to Brighton College on March 12th to compete in the U16 category, putting them in the top 5 ensembles for their age-group in the country. Huge congratulations to all involved!
