We are currently seeking parent and carer volunteers to support and enrich our co-curricular programme for the 2026–27 academic year.
We are looking to offer a range of short courses, workshops and enrichment activities that could run from a single after-school session through to a half-term programme. We would welcome volunteers from all backgrounds who are willing to share their skills, expertise or interests with our students.
In particular, we are interested in volunteers who could support activities in the following areas:
- DIY and Home Maintenance – introducing students to practical skills such as hanging pictures, basic repairs, wiring plugs and general home improvement.
- Trades and Construction – providing an insight into construction, plumbing, electrical work and related trades.
- Marketing and Sales – helping students develop entrepreneurial skills through product development, marketing and sales activities.
- Video Editing and Social Media Marketing – teaching students how to create and edit digital content, including videos, reels and promotional materials.
- Fishing – leading introductory fishing sessions or supporting a supervised fishing trip.
- Mechanics – introducing students to basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical skills.
- Barbering, Hair Cutting and Grooming – sharing practical grooming and hair-cutting techniques.
- Cooking Masterclasses – delivering engaging sessions that develop culinary skills and confidence in the kitchen.
- Cycling Proficiency – helping students improve their cycling skills, confidence and road safety awareness.
- Interview Skills and Mock Interviews – helping students build confidence in professional settings through interview preparation, communication techniques and realistic mock interview experiences.
- Photography – introducing students to the fundamentals of photography, including composition, lighting, camera techniques and photo editing.
- First Aid and Emergency Response – teaching essential life-saving skills and basic first aid techniques, helping students develop confidence in responding to everyday emergencies.
- Careers Spotlight Sessions – providing students with insights into a range of professions through interactive workshops led by industry specialists. Volunteers could share their career journeys, discuss pathways into their profession and answer students’ questions about working in their field.
