On Wednesday 14th May, Central Foundation took part in the first round of the English Schools Track & Field Championships at Mile End Athletics Track – and what a day it was!
We were proudly represented by two teams: a Junior Boys team made up of Year 7 and 8 pupils, and an Inter Boys team featuring our Year 9 and 10 athletes. Both teams performed exceptionally well, showing great determination, skill, and team spirit throughout the competition.
The highlight of the day came as the Inter Boys team not only qualified for the next round but finished as the top team overall in their category – a remarkable and historic achievement for the school. The Junior Boys team also delivered a fantastic performance, securing their place in the next round with some strong individual and team efforts.
Across both teams, many pupils achieved personal bests and scored big points in their events, contributing to an unforgettable day of athletics for the school. We are incredibly proud of all the boys who competed and look forward to seeing what they can achieve in the next stage of the competition.
