On Wednesday 10th December, five Year 12 students had the opportunity to attend a lecture by Dr Chris van Tulleken, best known for his CBBC show Operation Ouch!, at the Royal College of Physicians. The lecture addressed how the digestive system works, the prevalence of ultra-processed food in modern diets, and the role played by food manufacturers in its popularity.
After the lecture, the students had the opportunity to chat to Dr van Tulleken and ask questions about his work in healthcare.
