On Tuesday 1st February, 23 Year 10 students took part in this year’s Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge workshop. Once again, we welcomed Elaine Powell from the Speaker’s Trust who spent the day teaching students public speaking skills.
During the workshop, each student wrote and delivered a 3 minute speech on a topic of their choice. The speeches were wide ranging from considering the power of the mind to the importance of religion, to our favourite chocolate.
Congratulations to the two winners Nathanial Todd and Eyoel Kassa who will progress to the Regional Final at Highbury Fields School on 24th February.
