On Tuesday 18th October, 27 Year 10 students took part in this year’s Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge workshop.
During the workshop, each student participated in a range of activities designed to support them with their public speaking and speech writing skills.
They wrote and delivered a 3 minute speech on a topic of their choice. The speeches were wide ranging from considering the prison rehabilitation programmes to exploring the mental health issues facing young men today.
Congratulations to our winners George, Leon, Gabriel, Kelvin and Enes! They will be performing their speeches during assembly and a winner will be selected to progress to the regional final.
