On Tuesday 24th September, public speaking mentor and coach, Joel Drapkin, attended Central Foundation to hold a Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge workshop for a group of Year 10 students.
Students spent the day engaging in activities to build their confidence in speech writing and performance. Each student discussed a wide range of subjects, before deciding on a topic personal to them to develop a speech about.
In the afternoon, the students put their new skills into practice delivering fantastic speeches on topics ranging from the impact of mobile phones on the younger generation to immigration, from the power of friendship to the celebrating those with neurodivergence.
