On 11th October, Central Foundation welcomed Justin and Charlie from the Speaker’s Trust to deliver the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge Workshop for 60 year 10 students. The day consisted of engaging activities and exercises designed to help students improve their speech writing skills and boost their public speaking confidence.
By the end of the workshop, all students delivered their own speeches to the rest of the group on topics varying from how to reform the education system to whether small business fried chicken shops should unite to take on the big brands!
Well done to our finalists: Isaac, Ivan, Mylo and Mazen who delivered their speeches in assemblies last week. Mylo and Mazen were selected as the top 2 finalists to go on to represent the school in the Islington Regional finals on 5th December.
