On Monday 2nd December, Central Foundation Boys’ School, as the Winner of 2023, hosted the regional final of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge. Schools from across Islington competed to be crowned regional finalist by performing 3 minute speeches on a range of topics from animation to the value of friendship.
Mazen in Year 11, our regional champion from last year, acted as MC, introducing the speakers and entertaining guests, including the Islington Deputy Mayor, Cllr Jason Jackson.
Three of our year 10 students: Joelson, Nathan and Zach were selected to deliver a speech, after successfully winning the Assembly final round at school – a huge congratulations for their outstanding performances!
We look forward to taking part in the regional final, hosted at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School next year!
