In this year’s Intermediate Maths Challenge, students from Year 9, 10, and 11 have excelled showcasing exceptional mathematical skills and determination.
Out of the many talented participants, seven of our students achieved gold. Congratulations to Alex, Anir, Donnacha, Finlay, Max, Naseem, and Tommy who qualified for the next round, placing them in the top 8.3% of all challengers. This impressive feat reflects not only the individual brilliance of these students but also the collective strength of our school’s approach to fostering a deep understanding of mathematics.
Our results are particularly noteworthy when we compare them to the national average. Across the board, our students achieved 33% more silver certificates than the national average, a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for the subject. This achievement speaks volumes about the quality of teaching, resources, and support our students receive, as well as their own drive to succeed.
In the next stage of the competition, these seven students will have the opportunity to compete with the best minds across the country. This is not only a significant personal achievement but also a proud moment for our school, as we continue to inspire and nurture the next generation of mathematicians.
We extend our congratulations to all participants for their outstanding efforts, and we look forward to seeing the continued success of our talented students in the upcoming rounds.
