On Wednesday 16th October, the drama department took 25 Year 10 and 11 GCSE drama students to see the performance of ‘Roots’ at the Almeida theatre, Islington.
It was a thought provoking, politically driven performance in a naturalistic style that both challenged our students’ and aided them in their overall critical thinking and appraisal of theatre. The theatre visits are essential for our students to not only build their cultural capital but also to help them develop skills required to be successful in their drama course.
