On Friday 10th October, Central Foundation was visited by Jeremiah Stephenson from the Music Department at St Paul’s Cathedral. The Cathedral arranged for loan of an Electronic Church Organ for the day, which filled up our rehearsal space at the Hearn Centre nicely.
20 students from across all different ages in the school were treated to an exploration of the church organ and a chance to have a go at playing it. This included our A-level students whose coursework was greatly assisted by a discussion around church music and composition for performances in church and cathedral spaces.
