On the morning of Wednesday 10th July, Central Foundation Boys’ School hosted the first Dulwich Trust Debating Competition.
Debaters from CFBS Year 7 and 8 took part in the competition against teams from Central Foundation Girls’ School (CFGS) and spoke on topics ranging from tourism to the history curriculum in schools. Our Year 8 team made it through to the final against CFGS’s Year 7 team and debated on the positives and negatives of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a very close set of scores.
We’d like to thank Mr Russell and Mr Ghafoor (from CFGS) for judging the competition and all of our fantastic speakers in the KS3 debating club for their thoughtful questions.
