On the evening of Wednesday 3rd July, our drama club students presented their showcase performances comprising of monologues, duologues, scenes and physical theatre ensemble pieces to a live audience in the Creative Arts Theatre.

The Summer Showcase comprised of students from Years 7 to 11 and was an example of the talent we have at Central Foundation, combined with wonderfully nurturing relationships that span the key stages. The variety of genres and level of confidence and skill displayed by the boys had the audience both laughing and crying and it was a hugely successful evening.
The evening culminated in the drama department prize giving ceremony in which the following students were commended or won awards.
Special mention for our lighting whizzes: Ivan and Isaac (Year 10)
Special mention for contribution to drama: Hasan (Year 8)
Awards:
- Best newcomer: Leith (Year 7)
- Most improved: Francis (Year 7)
- Best commedic performance: Raif (Year 9)
- Best dramatic performance: Adam (Year 8)
- Best solo performance: Yves (Year 8)
- Two awards won by one students: the people’s choice award and the shining star award for all round excellence and contribution: Mazen (Year 10)
- Most likely to become a stuntman: Peace (Year 11)
