On Wednesday 18th December, our Drama students had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a two-hour costume workshop hosted by The Old Vic. The workshop offered a fascinating insight into the intricate world of costume design for theatre, focusing on the timeless production of A Christmas Carol.
Through hands-on activities and expert guidance, the boys explored how costumes contribute to character development, storytelling, and the overall atmosphere of a play—an experience directly enriching their Drama GCSE studies.
Earlier this month, on 4th December, the group attended a live performance of A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic, an unforgettable highlight of the term. The boys were captivated by the stunning visuals, heartfelt performances, and the magical retelling of this classic story, which deepened their understanding of live theatre and the artistry behind the scenes. This combination of practical and immersive experiences has truly inspired their creative learning.
