On the afternoon of Thursday 6th March, 30 enthusiastic Year 9 pupils took part in an Advanced Public Speaking Workshop run by the English-Speaking Union.
The session focused on developing confidence and communication skills through engaging speaking games designed to enhance rhetoric and persuasive techniques. Pupils explored the power of voice, body language, and storytelling, gaining valuable experience in structuring and delivering impactful speeches.
This workshop provided an excellent foundation for the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, which pupils will participate in during Year 10. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to refine their public speaking abilities and build essential skills for future success.
Huge thanks to the ESU for this fantastic opportunity for our students!
