On Wednesday 26th November, a group of KS5 students took part in a Boardroom to Classroom event run by Debate Mate Plus and hosted by Deloitte. The day focused on developing students’ public-speaking and presentation skills through the creation of a pitch exploring the future of technology.
Working alongside Deloitte partners, students identified real-world problems that emerging technologies could help solve. They then refined their proposals and presented them to the group, with the winning team invited to showcase their idea to an audience of nearly 500 participants.
Student pitches explored a range of innovative solutions, including using technology to reduce NHS waiting times, enhancing online safety for vulnerable groups, and harnessing AI to increase business efficiency.
Our students performed brilliantly throughout the day and gained valuable experience networking with senior leaders from Deloitte UK. We look forward to taking part in more Debate Mate events in the new year.
